100% Success in Warrington
As part of the Constabulary’s Operation Banishing initiative to tackle violence against women and girls and protect vulnerable people, plain-clothed officers from the Warrington Town Centre Beat Team, aided by a Council Licensing Officer visited several venues to test how hospitality staff members would react to being asked for Angela on Saturday 22nd February.
Praise for Birmingham venues after undercover tests
Around Christmas time, a plain-clothed police officer visited several venues in Birmingham including Albert Schloss, Slug and Lettuce in Brindley Place, The Dragon Inn (JDW) and Mama Roux in Digbeth (which also has a female safety welfare team patrolling the venue).
Colchester Ask for Angela
Our Colchester BID commissioned us to work with local businesses and stakeholders in order to develop and deliver a bespoke Ask for Angela campaign, including training for over 100 staff at ENTE venues and strengthening partnership working, to increase the number of capable guardians in the city, supporting increased safety and feelings of safety for women and other potentially vulnerable users of the city at night.
