Client Reviews

  • “The vulnerability and safety training delivered by Ask For Angela was some of the most relevant and engaging content we’ve had. The team brought deep expertise and an understanding of the real-world challenges businesses face, which meant everything landed really well with attendees. It was practical, inclusive and grounded in the context of the night-time economy. Feedback from businesses has been excellent, and it’s already helped shift how teams think about customer safety and support. We’re really proud to have delivered this with them and look forward to working together again.”

    - Lauren Dowdle, Security & Business Resilience Manager, London Heritage Quarter

  • “Coventry BID is proud to support the city’s late-night venues through the Ask For Angela initiative, and the bespoke online training developed by the National Ask For Angela team has been a brilliant addition to our safety offer. The platform provides accessible, engaging and practical training that empowers venue staff to recognise vulnerability and respond appropriately.

“By tailoring the content for Coventry’s night time economy, we’ve been able to give our businesses something that feels truly relevant and helps embed a consistent approach to customer safety across the city. The team at Ask For Angela were great to work with, and we’re really pleased to be championing a scheme that puts inclusion, awareness and care at the centre of the night out.”

    — Joanne Glover, CEO, Coventry BID

  • “Just wanted to say a huge thank you for continuing spreading awareness in the event industry and I am really happy we now have implemented the scheme in our theatre. I hope more theatres in London and beyond will follow suit. Here’s to a safer future and thank you for helping us help people!“

    — Bianka Dublewicz, Safety Administrator, The Bridge Theatre, London

  • “It has been an invaluable asset, partnering with Ask for Angela. I see the bulk of my job as ensuring that every single person that comes into Grow - be they staff, customer, musician, animal, whatever - feels comfortable, feels safe, and feels able to have a good time. With all of the staff given Ask for Angela welfare training, I know visitors know that everyone behind that bar, or representing Grow, is someone they can trust and rely upon. That’s magic, to me. More than that, having this training available to my team empowers them far beyond the walls of Grow. And that’s community change, isn’t it? We only co-exist. It is incumbent upon us to create the communities in which we want to participate. Ask for Angela helps us do exactly that.”

    — Diggs, Venue and Experience Manager, Grow Hackney

  • “The Ask for Angela training provides a thorough and concise explanation of the key things to look out for, and helped me feel more confident about stepping into a situation should I need to. Truly invaluable information.”

    — Jasmine, Grow Hackney Team Member

  • “Following both in-house discussions and online training provided through the Ask for Angela portal, our staff completed the sessions individually, ensuring everyone was confident in recognising and responding to vulnerable situations. We then rolled out the scheme across the venue, ensuring all key staff were fully briefed and equipped to act sensitively and effectively. We emailed all 55 tenants in the scheme to inform them of the implementation and how to act if a situation arises. Informational materials were displayed in key locations, and a centralised file was created onsite to support staff in handling any incidents. The initiative has been well received by both customers and the team, reinforcing our commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment throughout the scheme.”

    — Paul Doherty, Centre Manager, Foyleside Shopping Centre
