Cat Kevern is the Chair of NOWIE (Network of Women in Events) and Director of Electric Cat Productions, dedicated to driving change in the events industry through advocacy and community building.
NOWIE is a community focused on increasing visibility, opportunities, and support for women in events. Under Cat’s leadership, it has evolved from an informal network into a Community Interest Company working with global partners, introducing memberships, and supporting over 150 women with access to free mentorship. A key area of focus for Cat is women’s wellbeing and safety at events, both for professionals working in the industry and for attendees. Too often, these concerns are overlooked, and through NOWIE, she is pushing for stronger policies, safer working conditions, and a culture that prioritises women’s welfare so they can thrive.
Electric Cat Productions is a vibrant, award-winning team of marketing professionals delivering a wide range of services, including marketing strategy, social media management, graphic and web design, copywriting, and PR. Specialising in the events sector, the team works with event suppliers and organisers to bring their brands to life through creative and strategic marketing solutions.
Cat is also a seasoned keynote and panel speaker, covering a variety of topics, including DEI, entrepreneurship, marketing, brand building, and the power of networking. With extensive industry experience, she brings valuable insights and thought leadership to events, inspiring audiences with her expertise and practical strategies. She is the co-host of The Neon Lounge, a podcast that shines a light on entrepreneurs in the industry, offering a behind-the-scenes look at what it really takes to build events of all shapes and sizes.
