Town Safety and Venue Liaison Manager - Experience Guildford BID
Pete has been with Experience Guildford BID since it’s humble beginnings in 2013. He has a wealth of experience from retail and the hospitality trade.
His role as Town Safety & Venue Liaison Manager helps to bring in schemes to make Guildford a safer place to come.
Pete has helped bring in schemes such as Welfare Champions to our evening and late-night venues as well as implementing Taxi Marshals and Night Bus Security and is the town coordinator for Best Bar None as well as Chair of Guildford Business Crime Reduction Partnership.
In 2021 Pete revitalised Guildford’s own Ask for Angela scheme to coordinate it with the national model. His vision was that this should not only go into bars and nightclubs but also restaurants, hotels and theatres.
Safety is of a high priority for Pete who both lives and works in the town centre. His biggest ambition in to leave a legacy for his own little girl to feel safe when she is old enough to access the evening and late-night economy by knowing that there are schemes in place that will keep her and others from harm.
