Joanne Glover works closely with the city’s hospitality, leisure, and business community to support a safe, welcoming and vibrant city centre. With over 22 years’ experience running licensed venues herself, Joanne brings extensive operational knowledge of the night-time economy and a strong passion for creating safe environments for both customers and staff.
Through her role Joanne works closely with venues, partners, and local stakeholders to promote best practice in safety, welfare and responsible venue management. She actively supports initiatives that improve safeguarding and help venues respond effectively to vulnerability within the night-time economy.
Joanne supports the delivery of the Best Bar None (BBN) scheme across Coventry, encouraging venues to maintain high standards of safety, staff training and partnership working. Coventry’s commitment to a safe and well-managed night-time economy has also been recognised through achieving Purple Flag status in 2026.
Coventry has also developed its own Ask for Angela training platform in partnership with Six Till Six, helping venues and staff better understand the scheme and respond confidently when supporting vulnerable individuals.
As an Ask for Angela Ambassador, Joanne is passionate about raising awareness of the campaign and supporting venues to embed the scheme effectively so that everyone can enjoy a safe night out.
