Town Safety & Venue Liaison Officer - Experience Guildford
Emma is the Town Safety & Venue Liaison Officer for Experience Guildford BID for has been with the company for over 8 years.
She joined the company after many years working in retail and very quickly worked her way up to become Town Ranger Manager and then took on her present role in 2022.
Over the past couple of years Emma has championed Ask for Angela through her work as a Best Bar None Assessor where Guildford now has 39 accredited venues, all of which operate the AFA scheme. If the venues did not have Ask for Angela in place, then Emma would be there already with posters and a training pack.
In 2023, Emma helped to facilitate South West Surrey Domestic Abuse Services to sponsor Guildford’s AFA campaign to which their phone number is also prominently displayed on our posters.
As well as this, Emma has also been at the forefront of launching Safe Places into Guildford Town Centre with 27 venues now offering a safe haven for those feeling anxious or vulnerable. This includes 8 evening and late-night venues.
