Amy Lamé was appointed Night Czar in 2016 by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan. Her role was to ensure that the capital works better for everyone between 6pm and 6am, including London’s 1.3 million night workers. She championed London’s nightlife both in the UK and internationally and has supported hundreds of venues across the city. She also put safety at the heart of night time businesses through the ground-breaking Women’s Night Safety Charter.

At present, Amy is a DJ and Broadcaster for BBC6 Music, as well as being the Founding Director of the global consultancy, 24hr Cities, which was established in December 2024.
